Today I went to Mission , Texas to the Citrus Festival Parade. The theme was "The Early Railroad in South Texas". Most of the floats were decorated like trains. The main requirement for each float is that is has to have some "citrus" on it. Some had baskets or crates of grapefruit or oranges. This one, and some of the others, were decorated with slices of grapefruit and oranges. The green fringe along the bottom is palm branches. There were lots of middle school and high school bands. There were many girls who had won titles at the Festival and were wearing very pretty dresses.
